Cloth, baskets, containers, nets, fences, dwellings, even paper—all originated from fiber and plants, but were transformed through human ingenuity and the development of weaving. The natural malleability and strength of various types of plant materials have been made even more beautiful by human manipulation through weaving. Woven presents works of art that illustrate, represent and celebrate weaving, the abundance of possibilities present in the plant kingdom.
